Nokia exec confirms touchscreen coming to N series 'soon'

Nokia fans won’t have long to wait before the firm unveils its first N-series handset with a touchscreen, the Finnish phone giant has confirmed.

At an event in New Delhi, Devinder Kishore, Director of Marketing for Nokia India, told website Cell Passion that Nokia has a “lot of touchscreen phones coming up, including an N-series device very soon”.

The N series is the umbrella term for Nokia’s best-of-the-best phones, and the category under which many of its smartphone devices fall. Existing members of the category include the N96, N85 and N82.

Kishore didn’t divulge what the mysterious touchscreen-enabled N-series device’s key features will be, but with its stablemates all incorporating music and video players, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and smartphone functionality, it's not hard to guess.
