Motorola puts phone 'overbite' to good use

ZN200 slider, with feature status overbite

Overbites aren’t usually something to be smiled at. But the overbite on Motorola’s latest sexy slider is more than just a questionable style feature.

Motorola's ZN200: overbite

Atop the ZN200’s overbite are status icons, including ones for Bluetooth and messaging. These give you a quick visual reference to see whether, say, you’ve received a new text message. The feature’s not ground-breaking, but it’s at least helpful.

Unfortunately, the rest of the slider phone is just average. A two-megapixel camera is included and images are stored onto Micro SD cards of up to 2GB. Images can be viewed back on the phone’s 1.9in display.

Music is a big feature on the phone, as with most Motorola handsets launched these days. The ZN200 supports MP3 format audio files, and tracks can be dragged and dropped onto the phone over a USB connection.

The phone supports quad-band GSM connections, but there’s no mention of either Edge or 3G HSDPA support.

Motorola's ZN200 is expected to be released next month, but a price hasn't been given.
