Juniper's net revenue for the fourth quarter 2007 was $809.2m, a 36 per cent increase from $595.8m last year. For all of 2007, net revenue was $2.83bn, a 23 per cent jump compared with $2.3bn in 2006.

Net income for the fourth quarter was $122.9m compared to $71m for Q4 2007. Net income for the total year was $360.8m, compared with a loss of $1bn the previous year (which included $1.28bn in impairment charges).

Operational income for Q4 2007 was $247.7m, which compares with $234.2m. Operational income for the year was $797.6m compared with $755.6m for the 2006 fiscal year.

"Juniper's key operating metrics were all in line or ahead of expectations in the December quarter," said CEO Robyn Denholm.

The company recently lost its COO Stephen Elop, who jumped ship to take charge of Microsoft's Office software operations ®
