'Dangerously alluring' Ukrainian joins Bond 22

Olga Kurylenko confirmed as 007's sidekick

Casting is pretty well done and dusted for the 22nd Bond movie outing with the announcement that Ukrainian former model Olga Kurylenko will play Daniel Craig's "dangerously alluring" sidekick Camille.

Olga Kurylenko in HitmanThe 28-year-old, recently seen in video game spin-off Hitman (see still, right), joins 21-year-old St Trinian's thespiatrix Gemma Arterton on the Bond girl roster, with the latter tackling the role of MI6 Agent Fields.

Old faces back on board for the Marc Forster-helmed movie are Dame Judi Dench as M, Giancarlo Giannini as Mathis and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. The role of Bond villain has fallen to French actor Mathieu Amarilic, currently entertaining audiences in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, who'll menace the free world as Dominic Greene.

According to the BBC, Bond 22 will follow on from Casino Royale, with 007 "picking up the pieces after being double-crossed by Treasury agent Vesper Lynd". Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said Camille "challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper's betrayal".

Filming on Bond 22 has already started, and the film is slated for a November release. ®
