So, you've shelled out for the eye-catching L1NUX number plate, and now need a set of wheels worthy of bearing the illustrious open source celebration.

Let's face it, a second-hand Ford Fiesta isn't going to do the job, so what about a 1973 short wheel base stretch Merc, once owned by fun-loving Khmer Rouge grand fromage Pol Pot?

True, it's not Hitler's "Swabian Colossus", the four-ton, armoured-plated Mercedes 540K featuring hand-stitched leather, hand-crafted coachwork and lashings of chrome, which earlier this year went on sale for close to £1m - but Pol's rather more modest vehicle (befitting his Maoist agrarian fundamentalist ethos) does boast aircon for a knock-down £35k.
