Jabra motors in with in-car speakerphone

Bluetooth headset specialist Jabra has released a sexy little car kit, the SP5050 - lightweight and with active noise cancellation to better beat out engine sounds.

The SP5050 clips onto your car's visor and only requires you to take it out of the box, charge it up and auto-pair it with your phone before it's in full use.

Active noise cancellation will ensure that background driving noises are cut out and that sound quality is maximised, Jabra claimed. It also has a night-mode setting that dims its LED lights to reduce glare when driving in the dark - and handily also preserving its battery life.

An auto-off function will ensure the SP5050 turns itself off 15 minutes after your mobile phone becomes inactive and the battery is good for 12 hours' talk time and 200 hours of stand-by. An in-car charger is also provided should you be caught short while out on the road.

We can't see any real reason why the SP5050 wouldn't work just as well as a sort of desktop replacement for your mobile as well.

The Jabra SP5050 is available now and retails for around £45 (€66/$89).
