Carrots are not the only fruit

Carnivorous complaints

Letters Before Steve Jobs indulged in a bit of halo-polishing this week, we noted how he'd personified his long and tedious feud with Bill Gates.

Normally, you'd expect a piece about Joan Baez-ex to draw an angry response from Mac fans. Not this time, but one line caught the attention of several readers.

Good read, except fruitarians only eat the bits that can be taken from a plant without killing it. So root vegetables are out.

That is all

As a raw vegan who also loves their fruit (experience a Durian today!) I'm interested in you comment that Steve Jobs is an austere fruitarian that you will be waving an organic carrot around in celebration.

Firstly the man used to be a fruitarian but is he STILL?

Secondly why would a fruitarian be waving a carrot around in celebration? It would more likely be a piece of FRUIT. The secret's in the name you see. If he was eating carrots he'd be more likely associated with being a raw vegan instead.

After all that I can't help feel that I've just wasted 2 minutes of my time and hope that this bun fight between Gates & Jobs keeps going as more Mitchell & Webb is just fine by me.
