Albatron takes off with speedy graphics card

GeForce 7950GT

Albatron has been quick off the mark with its new GeForce 7950GT. The core is clocked at 550MHz and the 512MB of DDR3 memory runs at an effective 1.4GHz, so it's a reference design through and through.

Albatron is pushing the fact that the card has a DVI connector and Dual Link DVI connector for HDTV and TV-out connectivity, but the card has no HDMI port - even though the GeForce 7950GT, and many other current chips, support the new wonder interface.

The 7950GT's HDCP module allows you to watch super high definition video using the latest H.264 or VC-1 standards and has a potential of reaching 1440P (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The 7950GT does so without the expensive HDMI connector and offers a more economical solution for reaching 1080P (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) high quality video with its Dual Link DVI connector.

The 7950GT bundle will include the full TOCA Race Driver 3 game. ®
