IBM closes data hub deal

Sets your data free

IBM has put another brick of its Information on Demand strategy in place with the closure of its DWL acquisition, announced in August. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DWL is a self-styled data hub specialist and prides itself on providing Java-based software that can delivers a single customer view of data drawn from multiple enterprise systems.

According to IBM, DWL will extend its leadership in master data management. It says DWL can help banks, insurance companies, retailers and manufacturers improve their use of customer data and to address business challenges such as regulatory compliance, optimizing customer relationships, or integrating data from mergers and acquisitions. ®
