BTo in (another) ADSL promo

BTopenworld is laying out the red carpet in a bid to sign up business customers to broadband.

Trouble is, trying to figure out what exactly is involved takes a little time.

First off, BT's ISP is waiving the initial set up fees and equipment costs (that's free service activation, a free ADSL modem and ADSL filters) for its self-install Plug & Go product - a saving of £150.

However, anyone opting for the Business 500 Plug & Go service must place their orders and agree an activation date before December 30. The service must be activated before 31 January 2003. Got that?

Businesses signing up to BT Openworld's engineer-installed Broadband PLUS products, on the other hand, could receive £130 cashback. However, orders must be placed and an installation date agreed before December 30. The service must then be installed before 31 January 2003. However, businesses can only take advantage of this offer if they also sign up to BTopenworld's Internet Business Pack, which costs £10 a month. Clear?

Alternatively, businesses subscribing to BT Openworld's 'Activation Only' service could have the activation fee and cost of the ADSL filters (about £85) refunded - if they're lucky. Once again, orders must be placed and an installation date agreed before December 30. The product must then be installed before 31 January 2003. Oh, and don't forget you also have to sign up to the "Internet Business Pack" which contains "everything a business needs to capitalise on its broadband connection and establish a professional online presence".
