VIA pleased with sales performance

VIA Technologies is very pleased with its 2001 sales figures, up 10.41 per cent on the previous year. This shows the company performing strongly "despite tough market conditions".

However, December 2001 wasn't so hot, with revenues of NT$ 2.15bn (US$ 61.58m). This was down seven per cent on the same time in 2000.

No revenue split is provided between chipsets (where VIA commands big market share) and processors (where VIA is still very little). ®
