New Labour launches DoS attack on satirical site

You vill not make mockery of us Spinon!

The satirical election site that is making the campaign palatable had to be taken down for about half an hour of so this afternoon thanks to a denial of service attack.

One of the Spinon.co.uk's founders wasn't convinced by our gag that it was simply visitors and is working out where it came from as we speak.

It's obvious to us. It has to be Labour Party HQ in Millbank. It's not the Tories because they're simply not capable of it, even it they could get more than two people working towards the same goal for more than an hour. And it's not the LibDems because the attack was actually effective.

And it couldn't be script kiddies because they would (or should) applaud anything that points fun at authority.

Therefore that leaves us only with human humour-failures, the Labour party. It's obvious if you think about it. They're control freaks. Tony Blair isn't allowed near any members of the public even though we're in the middle of an election campaign for fear someone will ask him a hard question. John Prescott has already shown his attitude towards critics.

Jack Straw accused policemen of being drunk because they didn't agree with him. Slot into that a frankly hilarious Web site that digs deeper through humour than all the acres of newsprint given to tedious posturing and you have public enemy number one.

Disgraceful. Tut tut. ®
