Boo: gloaters outnumber creditors

Nah, nah, nah

The vultures are gathering around the corpse of failed e-tailer boo.com - and it's not just the creditors looking to pick at the bones.

Jobsite - which claims it's the "UK's leading internet recruitment company" - believes the demise of Boo.com highlights both the danger of gold rush spending in the Internet community and the strength of traditional profit-making business models.

Jobsite marketing director Chris Newson said in a statement: "Last year Jobsite was criticised by experts for making a profit. We were told we were getting our business strategy wrong.

"The boot now seems to be on the other foot, and Internet companies are looking to well-established, profit-making internet operations, such as Jobsite, as an prime example of how to get it right.

"Jobsite has concentrated on establishing a solid business foundation and developing a quality product. Unlike Boo.com, which hyped itself and disillusioned its users from the outset, Jobsite has concentrated its resources on making its site the best in the business," he said.

You don't think he's gloating, do you? ®
