Asian wire Nikkei is reporting that VIA will set up a joint venture with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) to produce chips. That will happen once VIA has concluded its negotiations to buy Cyrix, according to the reports. And the wire is reporting that VIA thinks it will have 10 per cent of the global x.86 market in two years' time.
