Readers in Japan have told The Register that the Pentium III is now available in quantity in shops in Tokyo. Chips are available in both 450MHz and 500MHz flavours, one source said. He said that the second column from the left is the lowest street price, the third is the change from the previous week, and the very right column is the number of shops sampled. At least five stores in Japan are already selling Pentium III/500MHz parts, he reported.
