Intel antitrust suit delayedGreat Stan of chips gets a month's reprieve from FTC allegationsPublished Monday 5th October 1998 16:24 GMT The Federal Trade Commission's anti-trust suit against Intel has been postponed again, this time by a further month. The action will now commence on 18 February 1999. The move was made by the presiding judge, James Timoney, the better to fit his undoubtedly busy schedule. The judge had already set the trial for 5 January. The FTC's action centres on allegations that Intel has used monopolistic business practices against computer vendors, processor manufacturers, and graphics chipmakers. ® Click for more stories
