Microsoft cuts Azure prices

Microsoft is reducing its prices for Azure virtual machine users by double-digit percentages this month - the latest move in the cloudy merry-go-round of cuts between vendors.

General Purpose Instances are to be cut by 15 per cent, Compute Optimized Instances by 11 per cent, and the Av2 series will be cut by 36 per cent from November.

However, many UK users have seen an increase in US tech imports following the decision to leave the EU, due to the weaker pound. ®
