'Spotify wants SoundCloud'

Spotify is reportedly looking to acquire music sharing site Soundcloud.

The FT reports (from behind a paywall) that the two companies are in "advanced talks" on a possible merger.

A SoundCloud takeover would give Spotify one fewer rival in a streaming music market already crowded by the likes of Apple Music and Pandora. It would also give Spotify access to the millions of users and artists who use Soundcloud to share their songs and clips. ®
