Red Hat hauls $600m quarter

Enterprise Linux house Red Hat says it is on course to crack $2.4bn in revenues this year.

The estimate comes after fiscal Q2 2017 saw the open source giant inflate revenues by one fifth:

  • Net income of $59m up from $51m in Q2 2016.
  • Earnings per share (non-GAAP) of 55 cents topped analyst estimates of 54 cents.

For the full 2017 fiscal year, Red Hat said it expects revenues ranging from $2.41bn to $2.43bn. ®
