VMware has delayed the release of Workstation 12.5 by a few days to squash a bug.
The update was announced during last month's VMworld and was more eagerly anticipated than most because conference attendees were given a free licence.
But it's not much use for now, as the Tweet below explains.
Hey folks! Due to a nasty bug we chose to hold our release a couple of days rather than issue a patch later. Thanks for understanding!

Virtzilla's followed up with a promise to release the product early this week.
VMware recently pulled a buggy release of its NSX product. Workstation is developed by a different team, so is in no way to blame for the NSX mess. But it's not hard to imagine that all developers down Virtzilla way are currently hyper-aware of the need to release only top quality code. ®
