Mills appears at top of MapR

Matt Mills, formerly of Oracle, has assumed the reins as Chief Executive Officer at Hadoopy big data biz MapR.

Mills joined the firm last year, after 20 years at Oracle, and was applauded for increasing revenue in that year's Q4 report. Mills' industry contacts were lauded by MapR's marketing chief, Jack Norris.

MapR's previous CEO and founder, John Schroeder, has assumed the role of executive chairman. ®
