Price drop in flash

Certified IOmark-VM benchmarks for hyper-converged Intel X86 systems with Intel NVMe flash drives have hit a price/performance record.

The IOmark-VM-HC is a benchmark that certifies hyper-converged systems for virtual server workloads. It measures and reports application specific storage workloads and the price per VM instance. The Evaluator Group, which developed IOmark, tested 4 x Intel S2600WT servers fitted with Intel DC P3700 NVMe drives and DC3700 SSDs. These systems achieved 480 IOmark-VM-HC instances, at a record price per IOmark-VM-HC virtual machine of $545.27. Check out the result here [PDF]. ®
