Samsung eyeballs new Note

Samsung today unwrapped Note 7, the latest in its line of category-creating phablet.

(The company skipped a 6, going from 5 to 7). The update largely brings features already seen in the Galaxy S7 to the pen-friendly slab such as an Edge-style curved display, waterproofing and wireless charging. The device features a 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2460) AMOLED display, 64GB of RAM, a 3500mAh battery, and an Iris scanner for biometric security. The pen tip has shrunk to 0.7mm. The device is scheduled to ship on September 2nd.

Market watcher Strategy Analytics has hailed Samsung’s S7 Edge as the world’s best-selling phone of 2016 so far, with 13.3 million units shipped.
