Warframe leaks 800k addys

Users of the online shooter game Warframe are being alerted after a hacker managed to harvest the email addresses of more than 775,000 players.

Warframe administrators said the attacker used a SQL exploit to harvest the addresses of hundreds of thousands of users.

Though other data such as passwords and payment details are believed to be safe, the breach could lead attackers to craft targeted phishing attacks aimed specifically at Warframe players. Administrators are recommending that players be wary of unsolicited emails, particularly those asking for any account details.

Gamers are also being advised to enable two-factor authentication to further protect their accounts. ®
