VMware executive shuffle

VMware has made a couple of executive changes.

Cloud native applications general manager Kit Colbert has become CTO of the company's Cloud Platform Business Unit.

The new gig, we're told by a VMware spokesperson, will mean Colbert “will be able to focus on his passion for technology, strategy and customers, while extending his technical duties across Cloud-Native Apps, vSphere and beyond.”

Paul Fazzone scores Colbert's old gig. Fazzone was previously head of business operations for VMware’s Network & Security wing.

We're told Fazzone joined the company through the Nicira acquisition and is highly regarded after taking on a product management role for the resulting NSX product, which went gangbusters.

Fazzone now gets the job of leading VMware's cloud native applications push. ®
