Windows Phone users beg Pokémon Go creators for attention

Yes, all six of them have signed an online petition asking for a WP release

Frustrated Windows fans are lobbying the creators of Pokémon Go to bring the augmented reality game to their smartphones and devices.

Forty thousand individuals so far have signed a petition at Change.org for Pokémon Go to be ported to Windows 10 and Windows mobile.

According to the petition on Change.org:

With the above stated, the community composed of millions of loyal fans and users of Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile humbly request Pokémon Go creators, Niantic, The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo to release Pokémon Go on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile alongside their Android and iOS counterparts.

Pokémon Go is not the first game-cum-social craze to bypass Microsoft.

In 2009 Rovio Entertainment released Angry Birds on iOS first and only got round to Windows Phone after releasing it on Android and Symbian. Flappy Bird nearly came to Windows after it debuted on iOS and Android in May 2013. Creator Nguyen Ha Dong promised it but retreated in face of sudden internet fame and pulled Flappy Bird from the Apple and Android stores. ®
