Data Platform refreshed

Cohesity Data Platform 3.0 delivers improved data centre performance for Cohesity's converged secondary storage offering, says the firm.

Its Data Protect v3.0 extends data protection coverage from virtualised environment to physical servers. App-aware Windows backups and app-consistent backups for Microsoft SQL Server mean customers can reduce application recovery times.

There are new orchestration and automation capabilities to replace manual workflows for setting up data protection for applications and infrastructure.

Granular search and object-level recovery for data stored in public cloud archives has also been added. Cohesity Data Platform v3.0 software will ship within 90 days. ®
