Infinidat 20TB disk drives

High-end array startup Infinidat told a Stifel Nicolaus technology conference that it sees 20TB disk drives coming.

Infinidat has 100 customers with 252 InfiniBox systems and 422PB under management. Currently the largest non-shingled drives are 10TB in capacity.

We think Infindat sees 12TB PMR drives coming, followed by HAMR technology in 2018 that will produce 20TB drives. It has 352 employees and more than 200 channel partners. It says half of its revenue comes from the channel. Considering it started selling systems in April 2015, that implies a large number of yet to be productive channel members. ®
