Uncle Sam's IoT deadline

A US government open comment period for a new green paper on the internet of things closes today.

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) – part of the Commerce Department – is looking for input from everyone including business, civil society and the technical community on a range of issues to do with the next-generation technology for IoT, including what the government's role should be.

The consultation opened in April and was extended in May until June 2. Anyone can send their thoughts to the NTIA through a dedicated email address – iotrfc2016@ntia.doc.gov. ®
