Huawei joins Xen board

Huawei's drive into the enterprise has taken it onto the Advisory Board of the Xen Project.

Guangniu Su, director of Huawei 's UVP Team, says Huawei thinks open source clouds are going to take off among its customers, so it makes sense to get closer to the action. The Xen Project says it's noticing more contributors from China, so welcomes Huawei's increased commitment.

Huawei aspires to build clouds for telcos and, increasingly, more mainstream enterprises. It's now in a position to nudge Xen into directions it thinks will be useful. ®
