Cloudian gets Powell power

Ex-Nexenta CEO Evan Powell has joined Cloudian's advisory board.

Cloudian is a startup providing S3-compliant object storage, more S3-compliant than anyone else, or so it claims. Powell was Nexenta's founding CEO from September 2007 to December 2013. Nexenta provides a software-only storage stack based on ZFS and is currently headed up by Tarkan Maner. Powell was an entrepreneur in residence at XSeed Capital for 8 months and also founding CEO at StackStorm from December 2013 to March 2016, when it and its open source, event-driven automation technology smarts was bought by Brocade. Michael Tso, Cloudian's co-founder and CEO said: "Evan is the ideal technology strategist and evangelist to help Cloudian extend its technology leadership and continue strong market share growth." ®
