The US government has extended the public comment period for its green paper on the internet of things by two weeks.
The policy paper will take a broad look at the "potential benefits and challenges" of IoT and was announced at the start of April with a deadline of May 23. That has now been extended to June 2.
The department in charge - the same one that oversees the internet – is the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). It said it was adding the extension "in response to feedback from some stakeholders".
Anyone can send their thoughts to the NTIA through a dedicated email address – iotrfc2016@ntia.doc.gov.
