Pivotal’s Series C funding round was reported to be worth $253m, but is now closer to $653m, a Form D SEC filing reveals.
The extra money comes from existing investors EMC, who converted $400m in debt to equity to account for the additional money recorded in the SEC form, claims a Pivotal spokesperson who spoke to TechCrunch.
Pivotal is now jointly owned by EMC, VMWare, General Electric and Ford. ®
