Apple: Don't 'overreact'

Tim Cook has shrugged off fears about Apple's future after its Q1 results.

Appearing on CNBC's Mad Money programme, the CEO responded to the suggestion that Apple was on the way out by saying he thought that was "a huge overreaction".

Apple reported a 26 per cent drop in net income last week as iPhone sales fell for the first time since the product launched.

The fruity folk's faith remained strong in the Apple Watch, saying: "We're going to give you things that you can't live without that you just don't know about today."

Cook reckoned that in a few years, consumers "will look back, and people will think 'How could I ever have thought about not wearing this watch?'." ®
