HGST's Active Archive array is certified as a NetBackup target by Veritas. The box uses disk drives in an array that can scale out from 672TB to 28PB, uses S3-compliant object storage and erasure coding. WDC says says TCO tivals traditional tape and [public] cloud infrastructures. ®
