Verizon, Google eye Yahoo!

Verizon is expected to make a first-round bid for Yahoo!'s core web business next week. That offer will apparently include Yahoo!'s Yahoo Japan stake.

In December, Verizon identified Yahoo! as an acquisition target.

Meanwhile, Google is also reportedly mulling gobbling Yahoo!’s core business. AT&T, Comcast and Microsoft aren't interested, although Time Inc still is, apparently. ®
