ZTE warns of US probe

ZTE, the Chinese phone manufacturer, has said a United States investigation prompted by allegations the firm traded with Iran "may result in criminal and civil liabilities under US laws," according to a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange today.

The US commerce department has agreed to suspend trading restrictions on ZTE until June, in return the company disclose its sales to Iran and North Korea and to undertake internal reforms.
