Finding NEMEA: NetApp loses northern Europe chief

More change ONTAP at NetApp

NetApp in Europe has seen the resignation of its northern region head, Dave Allen.

The company confirmed Allen's departure, saying: "Dave Allen has decided to leave NetApp. We wish Dave Allen success in his new ventures, and thank him for his contributions. In the interim, Gos Hein van de Wouw, VP and head of Strategy and Sales Operations at NetApp EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) will assume the leadership for the Northern EMEA region (NEMEA).”

Allen took charge of NEMEA at NetApp in April 2012, having previously had roles such as MD, sales operations director, and sales operations manager from 2004 onwards. Prior to NetApp he held various positions at Sun Microsystems.

There have been a number of senior management changes at NetApp in recent weeks as CEO George Kurian re-fashions his executive team.

Allen might be headed towards Palo Alto Networks. A spokesperson there said: "Unfortunately Palo Alto Networks has no further information to share at this time." It didn't deny Allen's potential arrival. ®
