Folk attempting to confirm and reschedule exam appointments on the Microsoft Training and Certification site have been left with an error message when attempting to log on.

The problem appears to have started earlier this week, with one reader getting in touch to tell us he has been greeted with the message: “We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found” after logging in.

He said: "I have occasionally been able to access part of the training and certification website – but it randomly decides to show the error page – even some of the links from the error page result in the error page."

The reader, who asked not to be named, said his colleagues had also been experiencing similar problems on different browsers.

A Microsoft spokeswoman admitted that some customers attempting to access The Microsoft Training and Certification website have been unable to confirm exam appointments. "We’re working diligently to get the website back up and running,” they said.

It's fair to say that some of Microsoft's certifications lack the, err, rigour of its industry counterparts. Last year a six year-old Brit become the youngest person ever to pass a Microsoft exam. ®
