Ex-Trinity boss McDonagh bags NED role at Trustmarque

Industry vet hired to consult on clouds, clouds and more clouds

Trustmarque has hired former Trinity Expert Systems CEO Steve McDonagh as a non-exec director to provide consultancy on the fluffy white stuff - cloud services that is, for the absence of doubt.

McDonagh was in driving seat at TES when it acquired Eurodata in the summer of 2011, but the firm subsequently succumbed to cash flow issues and went into administration a couple of years later. He left when BPO specialist Liberata acquired the business.

The acquisition clearly whetted Liberata's appetite for further software suppliers - it bought Trustmarque last year after the firm ran into issues.

A filing at Companies House confirmed McDonagh has landed as a NED and Trustmarque told us, “he was already working with us on an informal basis, we have now formalised the position”.

“Steve understand services and the Microsoft cloud world, and has extensive experience of building technical solutions for customers," the company added in a statement.

Trustmarque and TES came together earlier this year creating a £200m + organisation that sells Microsoft licenses, software asset management, and cloud and managed services. ®
