El Reg offers you the chance to become a Master Investor – for free

Like tech? Like investing? Like ‘free’? Read on …

Promo The Register has partnered with the Master Investor Show to give you the chance to enjoy a whole day learning how to turn your nous and cash into ... even more nous and cash. The upfront cost to you? Precisely nothing.

Master Investor 2015, at London’s Business Design Centre on April 25, features a range of highly knowledgeable and reassuringly wealthy speakers. Top of the list is Jim Mellon, who has amassed a reputed £850m fortune from investing in mining, property and biotech, and who has distilled his knowledge into a book, Fast Forward. Other finance savvy speakers include short-seller Simon “Evil Knievil” Cawkwell, and £1bn fund manager Gervais Williams.

If pure inspiration is what you’re after, you can hear from Steve Redgrave, Olympic rower and longtime investor, and Falklands veteran and official National Hero Simon Weston OBE.

And if those speakers aren’t enough, UKIP leader Nigel Farage will be taking to the main stage to share his vision for a new UK economy, just days before the country takes to the polls.

If you’re looking for something more hands-on you can walk the exhibition floor or join breakout sessions featuring a range of companies, from trading and investment firms to manage your cash, to startups looking for engaged and knowledgeable investors

Those start-ups include OpenTRV, the smart wireless tech developed and championed by long-time Reg contributor Damon Hart Davis. OpenTRV is in the running for the event’s Master Investor Start-Up Prize, so go along and give them a cheer.

Tickets for the event cost £20, but we have 100 to give away to Reg readers. We also have ten copies of Jim Mellon’s book to hand out. So as a smart investor, you’re already in the black. To register for tickets, and enter a draw for the book, just click here. ®
