CIOs: Want to find out how to break into the boardroom?

Not at the top table? Come to our roundtable

Reg Events Very few businesses don’t rely on technology these days. Yet how often do they place real strategic power in the hands of the people running IT? You know who we mean - you.

That's why on October 28, The Register Roundtable will be discussing an issue dear to all our hearts:

How to get CIOs on the board

There are plenty of tech titles that sound like they get the bearer into the C-suite. But while becoming a CIO, CSO, or CTO might just get you a key to the executive washroom, does it mean anyone is actually listening to you?

Do you find yourself being told to do more with less, or worse still to spin-up a big data analytics project because the marketing director read about the latest "paradigm shift" in an in-flight magazine.

We’ll be gathering together people who’ve negotiated these very tricky waters at the Soho Hotel in Central London, under the expert guidance of our roundtable chair, Dominic Connor, and Reg group editor Joe Fay.

Proceedings kick off at 3pm. Once the formal talk is over, we’ll be carrying on the conversation over cocktails and fine wines. We’ll leave you to decide which will be the most productive part of the discussion, but Chatham House Rules will apply from start to finish.

We’ll be keeping the numbers down to no more than 12, and we’re aiming to keep the panel as broad-based as possible. If you don’t make the list for this event, don’t worry, we’ll make sure you’re on the list for future events.
