What’s new in SQL 2014?
In-memory performance, High Availability and Big Data
We have a live one-hour training session beaming into your screen on 12 December at 10am GMT. It’s all about SQL Server 2014 and it’s free to attend.
During our December session, we will showcase and introduce the new features of SQL Server 2014 by delivering a series of hands-on demonstrations around In-memory performance, High Availability and Security, Big Data Capabilities, High End Data Warehousing and Hybrid Data Cloud Scenarios.
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 brings to market new in-memory capabilities built into the core database and provides new cloud capabilities to simplify cloud adoption for your SQL databases and help you unlock new hybrid scenarios.
It builds on the prior release by delivering new in-memory capabilities built into the core database for OLTP and data warehousing, and provides new disaster recovery and backup solutions with Windows Azure, enabling customers to use their existing skills with the on-premises product offerings to take advantage of Microsoft’s global data centres.
In addition, SQL Server 2014 also takes advantage of new Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 capabilities to give you huge scalability for your database applications in a physical or virtual environment.
