HP UK redundancies emerge in enterprise arm
Long standing HPers head for door loaded with bag of cash
The local fall-out from HP's mass redundancy programme emerged this week with popular channel folk among those exiting the enterprise wing.
The Channel can reveal that account director Andy Gadsby and enterprise group UK reseller channel manager Paul Mclean, who has worked at HP since 1998, are off.
Both are understood to have taken the package on offer to workers, with HP waving goodbye to 7,100 heads across Europe, as revealed last month. Some 8,000 have already departed since the 'Make It Better' programme started.
HP would not confirm how many other staffers are set to leave in this latest wave of UK departures.
Other moves inside EG, in line with usual New Year changes - HP's fiscal '14 started this month - has seen Lee Knott move from heading up the UK and Ireland storage channel to managing a team in Erskine, say our sources.
At the same time our chatty contacts said Dave Mackie, country sales manager for commercial storage has been promoted to head of global account and commercial.
And in another move, Warren Duke has moved to head up the storage channel, having previously run the business unit for the UK and Ireland. ®
