OK, maths wonks: PRIME TIME has arrived

Cosmic prime number alignment due just after lunchtime today

Choosing a cloud hosting partner with confidence

Every Reg reader knows that a prime number is divisible only by one and itself.

But did you also know that today is a big day for prime numbers?

When the clock ticks over to 2:03:05 on November the 7th, 2013, the universe will experience an unusual alignment of prime numbers as the time becomes 02:03:05:07:11:13.

Before you complain: yes, we are abbreviating 2013 to 13 and yes; human measurements of time are entirely arbitrary. Keep telling yourself that when the sky darkens and the angels appear, okay?

If you slept through those dark portents during the day's first 02:03:05:07:11:13, remember to ignore the heresy that is 24 hour time and glance skywards again just after lunchtime. If nothing happens then, stay tuned for more news of a revised Mayan calendar. ®
