Logicalis swallows Jersey-based iConsult

Hosted services minnow with i-brand not trade marked by Apple

Logicalis Group has devoured Jersey-based hosted-services minnow iConsult for an undisclosed sum.

The integrator, part of Datatec Group, took over the Channel Islands business of fallen 2e2 earlier this year, which operates from Guernsey. Now this latest buy gives it a base in Jersey.

Jens Montanana, chief exec at Datatec, said the deal adds "scale" to its local managed services operation: iConsult turns over $2m (£1.25m) in annuity revenues, we're told.

"We can now deliver cloud-based and hosted desktop and BYOD services to a larger customer base in the Channel Islands and increase the Logicalis revenue annuity base," he added.

iConsult also sells hosted a Exchange service - it is a Microsoft server platform mid-market solution provider - and a hosted QuickBooks and Hosted Document Management services.

It claims to have about 800 customers on the islands, largely in the financial and professional services sectors. ®
