Bphone TV tuner handset

RH Numbers

Plenty of Chinese phones throw in a TV tuner. But the Bphone 1 also throws in a twisting, 5in, 800x480 screen and full keyboard to achieve a micro-laptop form-factor.

The phone’s other features aren’t stellar, including - it says here - "WIFI, GPS [and] gravity sensing".

Another in the category is the Flying F698, which has a lovely Blake's 7 look to it.

C99 Star phone

RH Numbers

Jony Ive, take note. The iPhone's sluggish sales in China may not have much to do with high price or difficult business conditions. We wonder why would anyone bother with a rounded rectangle when they could have the C99 Quad Band Mini Star-Styled Touch Screen Cell Phone?

We’ve no idea why this mobe is star-shaped or, ergonomics aside, why anyone would want a star-shaped phone.

It has nonetheless been summoned into existence and offers a 240 x 320 pixel screen, Bluetooth and even handwriting input. There’s even an MSN app, media player and FM radio, and it does have a glass-bead starfish on the back.

Re: Quad SIM mobile

Agreed, I've seen this on several occasions:

business one

business two

Wife

Mistress

it's not uncommon and actually very handy (German pun intended)

the travelling aspect simply makes it more viable than less.

Quad SIM mobile

Travelling regularly between two countries I do have a SIM for each for private use - in a dual SIM device. The third one, now in a separate handset, would be for business use. And I could easily add a forth one, e.g. prepaid, with a favourable deal for data. Pretty sure it's not just me...

Is it wrong...

that i really want a watch phone? Like really really? I could use a tablet for facebook, and web and emails. Then turn into dick tracy when i want to make calls. If it does wifi hotspoting then all the better!

Re: ...that would be awesome!

Broke after 2 days?

Well, their brochure did say 'USB that make phone call' [singular].

Star Phone

I want that star phone sooo bad, just so I can whip it out when I get the "my battery is dead...can I make a quick call.." request.
