VMware's annual virtualisation shindig – vForum – is about to hit Sydney on November 14 and 15, and The Register, has eight, count them, eight, prizes to give away ahead of the event.

vForum is an all-signing, all-dancing, celebration of virtualisation at which you can wallow in all things virtual at hands-on labs, or soak up some quality content from VMware's finest minds.

We've three access-all-areas, vForum tickets for the Sydney event. These tickets are worth $385 apiece and get you into absolutely everything at vForum, including:

  • Additional Technical and Business sessions
  • Deep dive workshops not available to the general public
  • An exclusive briefing session with VMware CTO Steve Herrod
  • Access to a Business Lounge which includes dedicated Wi-Fi access and refreshments

The other five prizes are tickets to VMDownUnderground, the legendary pre-vForum party at which the beer flows and virtualisation aficionados get their geek on. This party WILL sell out, but the organisers have kindly set aside five tickets for Reg readers. We're repaying the favour by stumping up five times the $5.00 ticket price, and donating the lot to Bear Cottage.

Winning either prize is easy.

To enter, send The Register proof of just how virtual you are. We're looking for proof of deeply nested virtualisation, extreme virtualisation or insanely high VM-to-server ratios.

If you're virtualised so deep you think you're about to meet Leonardo DiCaprio down there somewhere, you're in the game.

Entries should comprise unadulterated screen shots and/or videos, along with an explanation of what you've done. Send your entry to Reg Australia editor Simon Sharwood, who will pick the eight most extreme examples of virtualisation in action.

Winners will receive their choice of prize, depending on availability.

The fine print

Entries close at Noon, Friday November 9th. Winners will be notified as soon as possible thereafter. This is a game of skill and the judge's decision is final.
