Channel newbie SSS swallows e-Warehouse
Bags customer list, some staff and SaaS tool
Specialist Software Services (SSS) has made its first acquisition, devouring certain assets of e-Warehouse for an undisclosed sum.
The Reading-based IT infrastructure and asset consultancy firm has coughed for e-Warehouse's customer contracts, its Oxygen-branded web-based SaaS help-desk products as well as selected staff that will transfer as part of the deal.
SSS, founded in 2010 by CEO Jason Allaway and COO Simon Leuty, lured industry veteran Ian French to work with it as chairman two years ago to help flesh out on expansion plans.
It has also recruited ex-Bell Microproducts and Northamber finance director Nick Lee as director of finance and operations.
Oxygen Help Desk will be incorporated into SSS's Livingstone Platform, a suite of products including Business Intelligence, compliancy and auditing tools.
Richard Althorpe, MD at e-Warehouse, will run Help Desk Services as a member of the SSS management team.
SSS doesn't sell tin or licences but provides consultancy and cloud services designed to help large customers - its smallest client has 14,000 seats - to cut costs, remain compliant and analyse data more effectively, at least that is the plan. ®
