ISC 2012 Video The Tsinghua University team (profile here) didn’t take the easy route to the ISC 2012 Student Cluster Competition in Hamburg. They had to fight their way in a Pop Idols-style smackdown along with five other universities, which all competed to carry the Chinese flag in an intra-country play-in round.

Tsinghua won that competition and are thus coming into Hamburg with an undefeated record. Can they keep this streak intact with a win at the ISC competition?

We caught up with them on the last day of the competition and spoke to them about their chances.

The team told El Reg they believe they’re well-positioned to win, having run through all of the applications without any significant problems. Time will tell whether they’re right, and whether they can keep their undefeated streak going. ®
